When I’m quiet on this blog it is usually because I’m working hard. On this occasion, I have been working hard on something I can share. Podcasts are something I have consumed avidly for over a decade now. I’d like to think they have made me both more knowledgeable and wiser. Perhaps they have simply kept me entertained.
But now I have the chance to create one myself. In conjunction with Hardman & Co, we are creating a series on all thing EIS, venture capital and related areas such as SEIS and VCTs. The aim is to interview interesting people and talk in depth about topics. Like most industries, the tax-advantaged world is full of marketing and I want to get behind that to show how it really works.
We’ve been working on this for a while. I had the idea a while back, but first proposed it properly about a year ago. Other projects got in the way, but we finally got started and made our first recordings early this year. When lockdown arrived, we put it on hold initially, but eventually realised this was an opportunity not a barrier. So here we are with the new series!
We’ll be dropping new episodes every couple of weeks, with Tuesdays the planned issue date. So next one will be on 30 June. You can subscribe on any podcast service, such as iTunes, Spotify, Google etc, and we have some quicklinks to most of them at this podcast page. The full Hardman & Co webpage is here. For now, here is a player with the first episode. Enjoy!
